Haiku - His Name Is Always

Haiku - His Name Is Always

A Poem by Linda Marie Van Tassell
"

Haiku from the Heart

"

He is the soft wind -

the breath of lovers kissing

when day turns to night.

He moves right through me

like mist across the water

or currents of sky.

He is like the rain,

washing the past off my wings,

allowing me to fly.

He is a promise -

a rainbow revelation

when the sun arrives.

He is like the earth

awakened from winter’s nap,

blossoming with green.

He embraces me

in the silence of knowing

that he is my all.

He is my prayer,

resurrected in haiku,

eternally sweet.

He is like a lake -

the ebb and flow of my dreams -

a silk solitude.

He is like a storm,

twisting and turning within,

crashing to the shore.

He is a mirror -

a reflection of my heart.

His name is Always.

"He embraces me

My favorite from the lot. I just felt that, rather than just describing 'him' by using similes and metaphors (Well, almost is many stanzas), you could have explained 'both him and you' in all the lines. But your thoughts flow different :D :) I'm just being random. :)

Keep writing.

About
Poetry has been my passion since I was about fifteen years old, and I love the structure of rhyme and meter moreso than just randomly throwing words upon a page without any form whatsoever. Whi.. more..
