I Know

I Know

A Poem by

Wow I wrote this back in well it was a long time ago

"

I Know

My baby and I walking down the street
Hand in hand saying hi to everyone we meet
And we smile and wave good-bye

I’m working hard making ends meet
The money don’t last from week to week
But I know, I know we’ll get by

The sun comes up for another day
The bright light is in my face
But I know, I know we won’t cry
We won’t cry

Time on my hands, I ‘m getting old
The days to by to and fold
But I know
I know my time will come
I know my time will come

Living in the city, get’s mighty hard
The hustle bustle, stay on your guard
But I know we won’t go far

Having children, is such a dream
Watch’em grow and listen to em scream
But I know, we love them so
We love them so

Life’s so short, enjoy the time
Those who loved can never die
But I know
I know we won’t cry
We won’t cry
We won’t cry
