This is a story from long ago

About a girl

Who was on the cheerleader squad

She was always nice polite a prefect little lady

Disease it affects the body mind and soul

Disease it spreads so quickly without you knowing

Disease takes the good ones so early in life

Now she’s gone but not forgotten

 

She keeps her spirit up by hope and prayer

Her friends all know but there’s no disparity

She never let it get her down

She’s a pillar of strength as we all can see

The doctor tells her the time has come

No voodoo no drugs can help her now

I wrote this for a girl I knew in high school my twin sister who died this july and my mom all from this cancer
