I got up off the couch and walked to the kitchen and rinsed my face off. I splashed cold water on it and I started to feel a little better. I grabbed the phone and ordered pizza and flopped back down on the couch. When the pizza got here I ate it and threw the remains in the fridge for dad. I went to my freezer and got a pint of one of the Ben and Jerrys of chunky monkey ice cream and walked 4 blocks to Ashleys house. I walked in



"Knock Knock" I said as I came in.

"Hey" Ashleys mom greeted me with a hug.



"I brought ash some ice cream" I said holding up the pint.



"Upstairs." she said and smiled



"Can I get you anything to eat?" she said



"I’m fine thank you though" I said and took the stairs two at a time



"Hey girlie" I said and hugged her



"Hey" she said groggily



I handed her the ice cream



"mm thanks" she said 


"I cant stay" I said



"I know, your parents are weird haha" she said



"oh yeah you know it" I hugged her then headed out.


I walked home and went to bed. When I got up in the morning and got dressed in jean shorts and a tee shirt that said "Its the end of the world as we know it and i feel fine" and it said R.E.M on the back.
I walked to school early today. i left the house at 6:45 am and just started walking. I got to school at 7 and went to my locker. 



"Where were you yesterday afterschool" Kyle asked



I whipped around startled



“Like you cared" I turned and walked away



He was miraculously in front of me


"What?" he said caught off guard



"You heard me" I said.


"Yes but I don’t get it what did I do" He said still keeping his cool



"Oh come on Kyle could you stop playing dumb!” I said angrily trying to go around him but he easily kept up with me



"Whoa" he put his hand on my shoulder and stopped me 



"What!" I said



"Whats wrong!" he asked



"Why don’t you just go back to caring about Nancy" I said



"is that what this is about?" he asked



"DUH!" I said



"why?" he asked



"Because you just kept going on about her not stopping to think about who might be around you that cares for you" 

He stopped walking and I turned to face him



" like who" he said suspicious



"Forget it" I said


"Oh no no no you are sitting her chewing me out you better be able to back it up"

"Drop it" I said walking with him behind me. he easily kept up 



"So you cant back it up" he said thinking he had won



"ME!" I yelled 



He stopped and I kept walking into my class. I sat at my desk and repeatedly hit my head on the desk



"Stupid stupid stupid" I said with each hit 



"WHOA!" Tyson stopped my head. I looked at him 


"Ive been busting my butt to try to prevent you from getting hurt " he laughed



"god I’m so stupid!" I said



"why?" he asked



"forget it" I said and went to work. The bell rang and I drudged on to bio. I walked in and sat at my desk not making eye contact with Kyle. He sat stiff and uncomfortable in his seat



'Greaaatt i made it awkward. ' I said in my head



"Um hi" he said 



I sighed deeply and stood up



"w-where you going?" he stammered



" I’m making it not awkward...I’m moving seats to give you some privacy with Nancy" I walked and sat down next to Nick.



We were dissecting frogs today and nick helped me remember its organs for the test. 



"Thank you so much for letting me sit here" I said



        "Any time" 

the bell rang and I walked to math. Math flew by and so did lunch and Spanish. I went through it all in a daze, only coming out of it to talk to Matt every once in awhile. I walked to art and ducked my head at the table. 
         "Whats up?" Tyson asked



"Nothing" I said and smiled and sighed



Kyle walked in and i looked away. Surprisingly he sat next to me. 



"So Kyle how are things with Nancy?" Tyson asked



"Huh?" he said

"

Nancy the soccer girl?" Tyson said 



“Oh um she isn’t my type after all..she smokes" he said



My heart jumped


"plus I met someone else" he finished



My heart sank. I sighed



"I’m happy for you" I said


It startled Kyle. 



"You are?" he asked confused 



"Yup" I said and started painting on the paper the teacher provided. 

When the class ended Tyson held onto my backpack



"What?" I asked



"You’re not escaping today."



I got in the car second after Matt and sat in between Matt and Kyle once again. 
Matt saw how tense I was and nudged me. I looked at him confused and he smiled . I smiled back and nudged him. We got into a playful shoving match, which turned into a kiddish hitting match. Kyle just stared at us as we laughed  and hit each other.

“Don’t make me come back there” Tyson said playfully.

Matt started to tickle me and I whined  “Maaatttt”

“Alright alright! Truce” he said

“wow guys, act your age. Seriously.” Kyle scoffed and rolled his eyes at us.

We both looked at him and then laughed.

I really feel sorry for Lexie, I get the feeling Kyle now likes her but with so much going on who knows whats going to happen....great story so far!
