Tyson and I walked to my locker in front of Kyle and Matt.

 

"Hey Tyson" I heard Jennifers voice and I cringed.

 

"Hey Jen" he said and gave her a hug

 

'Mental note, don’t hug Tyson until he showers and washes off the Jennifer juice' I thought to myself

 

His head snapped up and he gave me a half smile and a half 'dont be like that' look. I was confused at first then I remembered he could read my thoughts. I blushed and threw my stuff in my locker. I felt hands go over my eyes and I turned to see Kyle.

 

"Hey Kyle" I said laughing

 

“Hey” he said

 

I turned back to my and started to lock my locker.

 

“Um are we ok?” he asked

 

I was caught off guard by his question.

 

“Why wouldn’t we be?” I asked baffled

 

“Umm Ally-“ he started

 

“Yes?” Ally said bouncing up to him

 

“Oh hey” he said surprised

 

“Ok so how about Saturday we go to the mall so you can get fitted for your tux and I’ll pick my dress and we can make sure we don’t clash.” She said

 

I sighed. I wasn’t upset or bitter about Ally though. Being jealous of Kyle was mentally draining and I just felt gross because I was always upset about something. It made me feel awful. I had decided that I was no longer going to pine over Kyle. It wasn't healthy. 

 

They chatted for a bit and they both had the biggest smiles on their faces. I decided not to be the hag who complained about that. I looked to Matt and we laughed. He put his arm around me.

 

“Well I guess It’s just you and me now” I said

 

He laughed as we looked at Tyson with Jen and Kyle with Ally.

 

“Wow aren’t we losers” I said

 

He laughed again.

 Emma from Spanish walked up.

 

“H-hey Matt” she said. She was so meek it was kind of adorable.

 

“Hey Emma” Matt said turning from me.

 

‘Hmm’ I thought as I looked around at the paired up boys.

 

“Ash” I said as I walked away from them.

 

“Hey babe what’s up?” she said smiling

 

“Eh nothing” I said

 

“Need a ride” she said

 

“Well since my usual ride is pre-occupied with the beastie I guess I do” I said

 

She looked and saw Jen and we both cracked up.

 

“C’mon lets go” she said tugging my wrist

 

“Bye guys” I whispered knowing once again that they could hear me.

 

“so this whole math thing sucks” she said

 

“Yea especially because there’s a new hot guy in our class” I said

 

“SHUT UP!” she said

 

“Nope” I said

 

“UGH I so hate you right now!” she said

 

“And guess what’” I said

 

“What?” she said

 

“He sort of …asked me on a date” I said

 

“Oh my god!” she said

 

We had a moment of pure silence before we started squealing and laughing.

 

“Gosh Lexie your turning into a hot shot” she said

 

“Haha I don’t know about all that” I said

 

“ Uh- huh” she said

 

She dropped me off at my house.

 

“Bye! “ I shouted over my shoulder and she waved.

 

The next day had gone by rather quickly. I sat down in art and started molding my clay.

 

“I love clay” I said to myself laughing

 

I heard Tyson walk up and laugh.

 

“Happy are we?” he said

 

“Yup” I said and made my clay into a dragon. I perfected it the whole period. The bell rang and I walked to my locker happily.

 

“Finally the week is over!” I said

 

I went to my locker and there was a note in it. It said

 

See you Saturday.

“What’s that?” Tyson said

 

“Oh nothing “ I said tossing it into my bag.

 

“Okay?” he said confused.

 

Tyson took me home and I went in and picked out my outfit.

 

“Hmm...” I thought

 

I chose blue jeans and a red top that had a pair of sunglasses on it. I set it on my dresser and went and got my dinner out of the fridge.

 

‘mmm casserole ‘ I thought while suppressing a gag. I called Ashley.

 

“Wanna come over and have pizza and watch a movie?” I asked

 

“You said the magic words. Ill be there in 5 “ she said

 

5 minutes later Ash called again

 

“Chunky monkey or half baked” she said

 

“Yay ice cream! Mmmm half baked please” I said

 

A few minutes later Ash came in with a bag with ice cream and a few scary movies.

 

“Hmm.” I said

 

“How about Resident Evil..that’s not too bad” I said

 

“Wimp” she said

 

“Whatever” I said and we put the movie in.

 

At around 11 Ash went home and I headed up to bed. I slept in until 11 and when I got up I had a leisurely day. I put up some new posters in my room and listened to music. I went on the computer and hung out. At around 5 I got into the shower and started to get ready for my date. I blow-dried my hair and put on my outfit.

 

At 7 Alec arrived. I left a note for my parents saying where I was. I answered the door. Alec was wearing ripped jeans and a black tee shirt that said Dance Gavin Dance.

 

I caught my breath trying to make sure my jaw hadn't dropped.

 

“Hey” I said blushing

 

“Hello” he smiled and we walked to his car.

 

He took us to the movies and we saw Hostel part 2. I must have screamed a thousand times that night. Alec just laughed. We left the movies and he took me to dinner.

 

“ JEEZ! Pick a gruesome enough movie!” I said laughing

 

“I just wanted to scare you” he said

 

“How nice” I said

 

“So umm this prom thing…are you going?” he asked

 

“Probably” I said

 

“Who asked you” he said

 

“no one” I said

 

“Hmm..” he said

 

“How about you…who’d you ask” I said

 

“Well I’m gonna ask this one girl but I’m not sure if she’s interested” he said

 

My heart sank a little.

 

“That’s cool and I’m sure she is” I said trying to hide my disappointment

 

“So how about it. Will you go with me?” he said

 

“Huh?” I said caught off guard

 

“Will you go with me to prom?’ he said again

 

I was shocked. Did he really just ask me to prom? I took a deep breath and tried to keep my voice from cracking.

 

“Id love to” I said smiling

 

“Sweet” he said

 

At the end of the night he took me home . He walked me to my door .

 

“I had a lot of fun tonight” I said

 

“So did I” he said

 

“Well…I should probably go” I said

 

“Yeah” he said

 

He hugged me and walked off to his car. I walked inside and hopped up the stairs up to my room where I did my happy dance.
