I sat up and was surrounded in complete darkness. I rolled over to look at the clock. It was three.

 

“Seth?” I said into the blackness

 

“yes?” He replied instantly

 

“Oh, just checking” I said

 

He laughed

 

“I’m not leaving Lexie” he said. I could almost see him smiling in the darkness.

 

“What are you doing all night any how?” I said

 

“Resting.” He said

 

“So you guys really cant sleep?” I said confused

 

“Really really” he said

 

“Oh, sounds boring” I said

 

“So, can Aurora sleep?” I asked

 

“Yes, thankfully” He said.

 

I laughed

 

“So it’s a demon thing then” I said

 

“Yes” he said

 

“So why the fighting over the beds then?” I asked

 

“We still like to rest Lex, we cant just walk around all day. Its nice to lay in a bed every night, its like an old habit. I mean I slept for nineteen years when I was alive. I don’t know what to do with myself at night.” He said

 

“Oh okay, that makes sense I guess” I said.

 

“Plus, mostly I think Aurora just wanted to be with Kyle” he said

 

“What is it with them” I said

 

“Well, Aurora knew Kyle since she was a baby. Their families are friends. Kyle had already long since been a demon before she was even born, but she was born how she is it takes her years and years to age. As you see she only looks about 15, it will take her almost 100 more years to get to looking like shes even twenty. She was born a sillian and will live until she dies”

 

“Live until she dies?” I said confused

 

“until shes, you know, killed.”

 

“Anyways, she has always had this obsession with him, he’s like her dream guy. You know, when she reaches two hundred and five her and Kyle are supposed to be married” seth said slowly

 

I choked on my spit.

 

“What? ” I asked trying to not sound frantic. So Aurora is the other someone Kyle was talking about. My stomach turned. She's terrible

           

“Their parents sort of arranged  a marriage for them. Kyle wasn’t for it at first but I mean, as much of a brat as she is, shes kind of good looking you have to admit. She isn’t the worst person to be betrothed to” Seth said

 

I shuddered.

 

“Whatever you say.” I said “So are they going through with it” I asked

 

“Well that all depends if he actually proposes in the next six months. I mean, he is sort of roped into it and I’m sure if anyone was going to get out of it, it’d be Kyle but his dad…..” he stopped

 

“What about him” I said

 

“His dad is really powerful. I mean he could touch you and break every bone in your body. Even someone as strong as Kyle.” He said

 

“Oh” I said

 

Oh was all I could say. What do you say to that? Oh goody either he gets married to the biggest b***h ever or he dies. Hmm.

 

I sighed

 

“Well I better try to sleep I guess” I said

 

“Okay. Night hun” he said

           

“Night”

That makes me sad. I don’t want Kyle to marry the big meany face. Lol. This chapter was good. A very informative chapter. Not a lot happens but it’s good just to take a chapter and inform the readers about some vampire history. Good job!
