I walked out of the dance and left.

 

I started walking down the street. It was a two mile walk to my house but I didn’t care. I took off my high heels and started walking barefoot. I never was much of a high heel wearer.

 

I heard a crackle behind me. I turned around but there was nothing but darkness behind me. I shook my head.

 

I kept walking and I heard another crackle, like someone was walking behind me. I turned around but no one was there. I quickened my pace and turned the next corner. It was silent. Dead silent. Not even the crickets were chirping. I walked a little faster when my phone rang. I jumped and picked it up

 

“Hello?” I said

 

Nothing.

 

“Hello?” I said again

 

I heard someone breathing

 

Click.

 

I shook my head and kept walking. I was halfway to my house. I turned the next corner and I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and they stopped. My phone rang again.

 

“Hello?” I said

 

Nothing.

 

“Hello!” I half yelled.

 

An evil laugh erupted in the phone.

 

“Who is this” I asked

 

“Ill never tell” a cracked deep voice said in a sing song voice.

 

“what” I said

 

“See you soon Lexie” the voice said

 

Click.

 

 I burst into a jog.

 

I saw my front door and I ran to it. I fumbled with my keys and tried to unlock the door. I dropped my key and searched for it in the darkness of my porch. I heard footsteps. They started to get closer and closer. I found my key just as they were turning the corner and I pushed into my front door. I locked it behind me and ran up stairs to my room. I locked the door behind me and sat on my bed.

 

My phone rang again.

 

“Who the hell is this” I yelled into the phone

 

“Lexie?” I heard Ash’s voice say

 

“Oh, sorry Ash” I said

 

“Dude are you okay! I saw the whole thing with Kyle, major bummer. I’m sorry. What's with you?” She asked

 

“Nothing sorry. I’m fine.” I said

 

“Um okay” She said

 

“Love u” I said and clicked my phone shut.

 

I got out of my prom dress and hung it back up. I put on my PJ’s and tried to forget the phone calls.

 

I heard rustling outside my window. I looked out and saw nothing but darkness and the dim light of our street lamp.

 

I shut my curtains and turn to sit on my bed. A few moments later I heard more crunching and rustling, like someone was trying to climb up my tree to my window. I looked out the window just in time to see a black figure dart out of sight. My heart jumped. I grabbed my phone and called Tyson.

 

“hello?” I heard Tysons voice

 

“Tyson can you come get me please”I pleaded into the phone “something is following me, I thought I heard it on the way home and something just hid outside my house. Please” I said

 

“Were coming Lex, hold on” Tyson hung up

 

A few minutes later I heard rustling outside my window. A dark black figure formed in front of my window. I took a deep breath as the curtains started to pull back

 

“Lex” I heard Tyson whisper

 

I jumped and hugged him.

 

“Tyson!” I said

 

“Ooph” he said catching me

 

Matt came in the window behind him.

 

“We searched the perimeter around your house, whatever it was its gone.” Tyson said.

 

“Thanks” I said

 

“Tell me what happened” Tyson said sitting on my bed

 

“Okay well, after I left the dance I thought I heard someone walking behind me. Every time I turned around there was no one there. Then I got these phone calls” I said

 

“What?” matt said

 

“Yeah, this creepy guy said he’d never tell me who he was. Then he said, see you soon Lexie. It was so scary” I said

 

“Hmmm” Tyson said looking at Matt.

 

I shook my head.

 

“ I don’t know, It was just scary I’m sorry if I bothered you” I said

 

“No I’m glad you called.” Tyson said

 

“Lexie we should get you out of here though.” Matt said

 

“Why, you said its gone now right?” I said

 

Matt looked at Tyson

 

“What?” I asked

 

“We have to tell her Ty” Matt said

 

“I know I know” Tyson said

 

“Tell me what?” I said

 

“Its starting” Tyson said

 

“What is” I said

 

“Something big, something really really big. Its in the magical world. Something big is rising, we can all feel it.We just don’t know what it is” Tyson

said

 

“What’s it have to do with me” I said

 

“We can't tell you yet. Its unsafe if you know” Matt said

 

“Something is definitely after you Lex” Tyson said

 

“Pack a bag, Tell your parents we’re taking you on a get a way for a bit and you’ll be back after spring break.” Tyson said

 

“Okay” I said

 

I wrote my letter as Tyson packed my bag.

 

“Um” he said “ Do you need these little stringy thingies?” he said holding up my underwear

 

“Uh!” I snatched them out of his hand and tossed them in

 

He looked at me confused then continued packing.

 

“I called Seth and James, they’re meeting us.” Matt said

 

Tyson nodded.

 

I liked the idea of getting to see Seth again.

 

I put the letter on the counter and grabbed my bag. We got into Tyson’s car and drove to pick up Seth, and James. I smiled.

 

“Hey human” Seth said and hugged me

 

“Yo lex!” James said

 

I laughed and said my hello’s.

 

“Um we have another stop” Tyson said

 

“Who now?” I asked.

 

“Kyle…and Aurora” He said

 

“What?” said

 

“Kyle and Aurora are sort of inseparable right now and we need the man power. “ Matt said

 

“I hate you” I said and folded my arms

 

Seth grabbed my hand

 

“We could make him jealous?” He said laughing.

 

I held Seth’s hand as we drove to get the two bone heads.

ha. ha. I seriously laughed out loud when they grabbed her underwear and called them stringy things. bahahahah! But I could feel her desperation when she thought somone was following her! It was crazy!!!! Then I got all excited when she decided to make Kyle jealous. That's whats up. haha
