I tossed and turned in the bed. I was afraid to bump into Seth. I woke up shivering, Seths arms were around me.

 

“Sorry” he muttered.

 

I realized it was his skin that caused me to shiver. I leaned into him more and pulled his arms around me.

 

“I don’t mind” I smiled.

 

I could tell he was embarrassed but he smiled back.

 

I closed my eyes and fell asleep once more. I awoke to light in the room awhile later.

 

“Wha-. Is it morning?” I said. My eyes hadn't adjusted to the light yet so everything was blurry still.

 

“Shh Lexie its okay.” Seth said

 

“C’mon Seth we have to move quickly” I heard James’s voice.

 

“What's happening” I said

 

“Lex you have to get up now okay?” James’s voice said

 

I tried to stand up but my legs were like jelly.  I stumbled and sat back on the bed. My eyes still were a bit blurry.

 

“Take this” Seth tossed something to James. It looked like my suitcase.  “I’ll carry her” Seth said

 

“Say what?” I said

 

“Lets go Seth” I heard Tyson come in the room.

 

Seth scooped me up in his arms and started running through the house.

 

“My god she can’t even walk? Lazy bit-“ Aurora started

 

Seth cut her off

 

“Aurora just shut your spoiled face. Lets go.” Seth said.

 

Seth carried me through the house and outside bridal style.

 

“Seth where are we going?” I asked

 

“Farther away” he said. He seemed upset

 

“Why cant we drive?” I asked

 

“He’s been reading the Altair brother’s thoughts. He doesn’t know about James and I. They know where you are because of them. I have to get you away. Tyson is going to think like you’re still with him but we need to get you far away until we can be sure Tyson isn’t being followed.” Seth said

 

I saw a dark hooded figure appearing in the distance. I inhaled to scream. In a flash Seth covered my mouth

 

“Shh its James Lexie. You need to be quiet now okay honey?” Seth said. He was so soft with me.

 

“Here get her in these. I could smell her from a mile a way.” James said

 

James handed Seth a pair of guys’ clothes.

 

“Uh okay lets see here-“ Seth started to undo my belt buckle

 

“Seth” I said

 

“Its okay, I- I’m not l-looking.” He said

 

He had gotten my belt off. He fiddled with my pants button. I think his fingers were trembling a little.

 

I touched his hand lightly.

 

“I’ve got it” I said

 

“Uh right.” He handed me the clothes and turned around abruptly

 

I changed into the clothes. I could tell they were Seth’s, they smelled like him. Well they were mostly his that is; I was wearing James’s skinny jeans because those were all that would fit me. 

 

“All done” I said

 

Without a word Seth pulled me on to his back and started running. I felt the trees whizzing by me. I closed my eyes and laid my head on his shoulder. He turned his head back and kissed my hands. I smiled, as we became a blur on the horizon.
