With Great Respect; Until You Talk

With Great Respect; Until You Talk

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

Everyone knows far more than they can say.

"

Everyone knows far more than they can say

Of course, all minds are mostly very fine

Akin to an aged precious type of wine

A very fine one...

Upon the very lucky

With a louder voice

 sans action

 only from the criminally articulate

Do come ideas divine

Without caution

The wind will show you sting

The inevitable...

 sans the lifeless ring

And so on, and so forth

 breathing in

Who we are lies

Not in what we know

But how we say it

And whom we choose to say it too

Why we choose to say anything

Anything at all really

 everything is

This place is a mystery to me

 so be it

Many answers for this poem. I liked my Grandfather wisdom. "Nothing good to say. Say nothing. Negative and bad actions will create permanent separation." Some statement do not help. Good to hold silence. I told my kids like my Grandfather told me when I left for war. "Send good words even if the things you do are hard. Grandmother worried for you daily. We don't want to make her sick with worry." I believe lies will catch you. The best we can do is stand our ground and do the right things. I don't need to lie. If I have a disagreement. I do it in private or by e-mail. Respect is earned. Knowledge is learn by reading, living and we need to think before we speak. This is good poetry. Made me think today.

"Not in what we know but how we say it," is a line I was quite fond of. Thanks for sharing :)

To all readers, don't bother with anything this shithead writes, he's only interested in confrontation and trouble making. Basically folks, he's a rude little c**t.
