Lament for the Living

i lament for the dead

by chanting dirges

about fighting doubt

fighting urges to fault the living

for everything

i've lost

out of spite

i celebrate the living

combatively

by feigning urges

and pretending justice

adores us

that doubt does not rule us

there is light in our being

   ...such arbitrary things...

            fear and doubt

            hope and certainty 

what is and is not reality

revealed to me on occasion

turns my despair toward the living

turns my envy to the dead

for a moment

             and so tomorrow at least

   i shall lament the living instead

and celebrate the dead for a while

for they may well be the very luckiest 

in the end

I love that song! Reminds me so much of my days living in the states and Canada.
I've lost 3 people that absolutely meant the world to me, losing them really broke me. You have to remember them though, but sometimes it's f*****g painful! Closing stanza is dope. S**t review sorry. Good song though. R xo
