Peaceful Competition

Peaceful Competition

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"
there is wisdom in insecurity
there is value in self doubt
the reality of "perfection"
is like sand between your fingers
impossible to grasp
everything about this here is fleeting
all we call right now is passing
we are all in this s**t together
we should embrace our enemies
across this impermanent experience
we should befriend our competition
after all. . .
this is all of it, a very shared experience
we are all involuntarily in this s**t together
so there is no point in being toxic
"impress me" personalities are pathetic
there is no such thing here as "perfection"

I have never believed in "my four and no more" and I do believe it takes a village to raise a family. However, in the 's**t' as you call it I will defend my family and neighbor's with my fleeting breath. Being sheep will not turn a wolf into a lamb, but being strong will cause them to stop and pause. :)

Loved this. It helps that our competition keeps us from losing all self-control too.

I love it whenever conflict turns into harmony. Yet it should be for the right reasons. We need something to fight, for us to grow. Our survival then, is a question of what we fight.

On a lighter note, we Indians love a bit of red chilly. It makes for spicier dishes.

You would love the state of Texas over here.
Lovely. I have no critiques. I found this poem to be emotional and the idea that it must come from personal experience to sound this realistic and meaningful.
