Plastic an Oil, Glass a Metal

Plastic an Oil, Glass a Metal

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

Dependent upon what you mean,

Plastic is oil

Glass is metal. . .

The physical world is quite complicated,

Very little is what it seems

The things we do to stay alive

Life consuming life

Yet we need the other to survive

Life begets more life. . .

Form follows function

Taking shape as all kinds of successful madness

The fact remains. . .

Survival is only what’s useful

It's why you're still here

To keep the balance

To maintain the cycle

Everything else is less relevant

(regardless of what it meant)

        in the short term

The title says it all..
Nice write, really enjoyed.

I've always believed adaptability to be the key to survival.
The cycle more or less stays the same. The actors and environment may change though.
Do change. Enjoyed your writing.

Thanks doll face. It seems we agree here.
I thoroughly enjoyed the philosophical spin you put on this!

Thanks Kelly. It's kinda sloppy but I liked the message so I figured, why not?
