the tears dry into salt

on your cheeks

useless beyond violence

in tragedy or not
my friend you are that. . .

what you have done

in duty or as a mercenary

my dear friend,

those tears are blood
  I am this monster

you cannot walk away from that

  I cannot walk away from this

they will not let you 

i will not let me

walk away from this

no not this

… so draw your sword

defend yourself

       with vigilance 

skill and candor 

    I was made for battle...

… or just die and fade away

as just a whisper

   of what you shoulda been

Do people really know how they will react, what they will do faced with the situation of kill or be killed. I abhor violence, don't want to watch it. It's bad enough hearing it from my point of view. Sometimes I think, maybe it's because I am afraid of what I am capable of doing if pushed to the edge. Perhaps I am a secret Boadicea,Queen of the Iceni, I certainly admire her. I hope I am never tested. Thought provoking poem.

Being faced with the decision to kill someone or them automatically going to kill you is a tough one. I myself personally. Would never want ever want to be in that situation. As would the majority of the population either. Does violence really solve anything even in war? As the true troublemakers as the ones who started, the war in the first place. And sent his minions to do the dirty work for them. Kill others. For the sake of his rules and opinions. Interesting read and makes you think.
