Truth, Shame, Appearance and Injustice

Truth, Shame, Appearance and Injustice

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

inspired by Thomas Merton's "The Way of Chuang Tzu" ('Perfect Joy')

"
The truth always does nothing
Its non doing is what makes it

The dead do not remember
     Their rest is their blessing

    Contentment becomes the exit
To well being post all judgement

As happiness is quite exactly
What you will feel after justice
                          on your own terms
                          in your own way
Unabashed
                          as you truly are
From what truly is. . .
                          inside of you
In all honesty
                          as yourself
Unequivocally
                          un-simulated
Unexpected
                          as you really are

. . . Never fake that
                          unless you have to . . .

...The dead do not remember it is their rest...
What a great phrase. It stuck to me.

Thanks... it's really all that was about anyway. You picked a good phrase to remember.
I like the spontaneity in this poem. And the properties attributed to truth. Its an element, best unreactive, unadulterated. The conclusion is a bit unexpected...

I think I accidently left an entire stanza off of this. Damn it, I'm a terrible writer sometimes. .. read more
