I truly hate Alex Jones... but he gets to talk too. We must never forget that, or eventually, we will always forget that. And good taste's got nothin' to do with it. . .

in between yelling "fire!" in a crowded theater

and barfing conspiracies over a crowded radio feed

for an audience only all too ready to believe. . . 

. . . to our detriment or entertainment

in between consequence

and free speech

in between morality, good taste

and public safety

with all this new fangled technology. . .

I heard he's been deleting shows that pertained to the school shooting he thought was a hoax. Whether that's true or not, he may be just the first to go. That line is capable of being bent, or so it seems.

He's a piece of s**t for that sandy hook thing (among other things) and has caused severe problems for people that really don't deserve it... but... he still gets to say it. Being influential comes with responsibility but it doesn't mean someone loses the right to speak their mind. He's been de-platformed for the most part and I'm pretty sure he's going to end up paying a whole bunch of money to the sandy hook families and that is as far as that should go. Some people, a lot of people, are pushing for criminal action against him... that's where I have to defend that scumbag. Eroding free speech under the color of law is not something I will ever support no matter how much I disagree with what is said.

That being said... I hope the court of public opinion evicts Alex Jones from our collective social consciousness as soon as possible. That guy is kind of a d********g and almost never a positive force with respect to public discourse. His popularity is more of an indictment on his audience than anything else.
