Just Like You

they chase me

as they do

those polite police

them well armed law dogs

all around us

relentless

as they hunt us

as they do

　

from a poster

they only see me

as this monster

for a prize

so they hunt that

   and I guess...

it's no surprise

   you can't fault that

as they do

　still

all choo choo

they must chase me

it's their purpose

   i'm their goal

　

though when they see me

all shameless

aggressive

quite untempered

and askew

they have to talk

just to me

just between us

they have to see me　

      in the flesh

as they find me

all polite

sometimes charming

and quite true

then the second guessing

it ensues

　

as they do

   as they see me

as i am

   quite imperfect

as a person

just like you

another monster

  all dressed in blue
