Destiny

Destiny

A Poem by The Duke
"

Written aboard the USS Oklahoma City (CG-5) as I sailed the Pacific Ocean to Yokuska, Japan where at 19 years of age I lived for two years and worked as a Journalist, My first lesson in diversity.

"

Searching for myself

that was my claim

For packing my bags

and jumping a train.

But

as the miles of travel increased

and age matured my mind

I realized it's been myself

I've been running from all this time.

So

do I continue this foolish search

for the me other than myself

or

Do I use what I have

and admit there's nothing else

Now

is the time I must decide

What will become of me

for now I know that it is I

Who

must choose my

Destiny.

Yes, that`s so wise and nice, close to what I feel...
very good! Growing in personal experience always bring us near to the way...
