I Can't Walk In Heels

I Can't Walk In Heels

A Poem by Lady Wolf

I can't walk in heels

the bouncing freedom of an exuberant puppy that I usually possess

is lost

I don't move right

My natural grace

replaced by jolting akwardness

or false grace

as I force myself to adapt

slow down

accept that I can't move in heels the way I'm used to

But then what's the point?

Give me no shoes at all

over

Cinderella's glass slippers

anyday

I can understand this...screw the heels...barefoot it...live on the wild side...civilization is a lie anyway !

Cute! It made me laugh, mostly because you have made your decision and decided that no shoes are better than high shoes and I have still yet to learn that ' false grace' is not better than short grace! Who knew that a well worded witty poem would be my teacher. I may just kick off my heels and throw on the old gym sneakers....
