The Battle Within My Mind

A hole in my heart,

A pain in my chest.

How did I end up this way?

I've been trying my best.

I don't want to be in pain,

I don't want to be sad.

But it's not working out for me,

so much for the plans I had...

All I want is love,

All I want are friends.

But I'm starting to realize

That its all in my head.

It starts with me.

And my state of mind.

When I'm finally well,

True happiness I will find.

It's good to get things out. I don't feel it's always necessary to be perfect in what we write as long as it helps. Good poem.
