Teardrops

Teardrops

A Poem by Lizardo
"

What do you think of this one?

"

Teardrops falling from a leaf

Sunlight shining above the tree

Morning light that lights the sky

Where ideas come to life

Teardrops falling from a roof

Soothing sound of the rain hitting the ground

A depressive view of life is born

But a vital dream is gone

Teardrops falling from the sky

It rains wildly with lies

A little boy stands in the front door of his house

Waiting for his mommy to return home in time

Teardrops falling from the earth

It trembles and moves with death

Animals roaming around earth

Waiting patiently for their death

Teardrops falling from sky

Its another twisted day with lies

But I've learned how to come out of it

Without crying at night

zardo, This is the type of poem that has the reader thinking, "Wow, I bet the writer really put a lot of thought into this," when in reality (I think so, anyway) the poem just flowed out like honey from a hive. So many very nice turns of phrase, in particular "...A little boy stands in the front door of his house Waiting for his mommy to return home in time." That couplet alone is worth the price of admission to this picture show. Very nicely done, Lizardo! take care...dan

Thank you Daisy!
I have some issues with this one from a personal point of view as I read it Lizardo. It reads so negativity to me and I have already fought and won a terrible war I fought with negativity.
line 13 Teardrops falling from the earth gave me pause to understand
the poem is is well structured and keeps to the topic though a dreary one
