In My Veins

In My Veins

A Poem by LizLadyNinja
"

A poem I found in an archive in my private myspace group. I thought it was pretty neat, so I decided to add it.

"

To Love is Amazing
As a Matter of Fact it's Dazing
Love is the High When You're Low
And in the Dark, the Light that Glows

To Love is to Feel the Sun
And to know Unending Fun
Love is Warmth on a Cold Winters Day
It's the Rain in the Middle of May

To Love is to Feel it All
Like Hopping through Leaves in Fall
Love is a Gift
Something to give You a Lift

To Love is to Dance
To be Caught in an Unexplainable Trance
Love is Pain
But Without there is no Gain

To Love is to Trust
Its My Addiction, My Must
Love is My World
It has Me Mixed, It has Me Swirled

To Love is to have Knowledge of the Past
Something that Lasts and Lasts
Love is the Drug,
No the Lightening in My Veins

Very good. Wonderful, in fact. Loads and loads of people like to write about love... but they're poems don't always seem to have half the substence yours does. The way the stanza's flow, and the way it's... written. It's great. The use of (well, the lack of) punctuation is interesting. It somehow makes the reader more focused, because of the way it's been written they may not necessary be able to understand it.

Love. such a wonderful subject. The root of all humanity. All joy, and all pain. I love the direction you too throughout this poem, from the beginning to the end it flowed like a beautiful stream. I especially liked the line "To Love is to have Knowledge of the Past" such truth. I enjoyed this very much.

This flows so softly, it blends into a chant of sorts. I love it, the rhythm and the metaphors, all leave us with a soft sweet image of nothing more or less than love. Beautiful!!!

I must agree, alot of people right about what love is to them but few capture things that everyone can relate to, I think your poem did that made ever so complicated love simple again

very well written indeed.

I have read countless poems about love. I would rate this very near the top...the skipping through the autumn leaves. God, I remember doing that when I was happy. The unexplainable trance. Boy, is that ever true. The rain in May...the warmth of the sun, these are all relatable feelings. I liked this. Rain..
