Poem says it all

His kiss I still desire

But his wounding words

Were mentally confusing

He drove me on a 

Misguided anomaly

Of rambling love

Manipulation at its finest

His heart-lacking qualities

Made up by the tender-touch

Our journey at times

Was the direction of the sun

Infused with moments of

Pseudo analyzing our future

Then he'd outburst his disturbed past

Bringing nothing but pain

I kept searching for an escape route

The more I ran the distance seemed further

But I accomplished my individuality

Now I'm freedom bound.

Easy to be locked in. Hard to find freedom. I like the story in the poem. People can twist us up and we must find a escape route. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you Coyote. I appreciate the review and kind words. I do agree with you that we sometimes allow ourselves to be caught up with or in other people and we lose ourselves and then we let our world turn upside down. It's so easy to get into relationships and seems so hard to get out sometimes!!!
