Reaching for the Stars

Reaching for the Stars

A Poem by Serendipity
"

My heart will always wish for more. You are my more; Ill never stop reaching for you

"

Reaching for the stars, i need you

Everyday another try, aiming higher

Am i reaching too far, an impossible

Can i wish so much, can i dream

How high can i aspire for you

I get lost in the gaze of your radiance

Nighttime my favorite, there you are

Gentle star glowing bright just for me

Feel like i’m soaring high above

Oh no, i think i’m falling for

Reaching way up into the sky

Your words keep me reaching, my

Obscure heart will always wish for more

Unlike any other star, you are mine

This one is an exquisite beauty.

I like the picture painted here.
A woman wanting to hold a particular star and no matter how much she streches herself, the star will always remain beyond reach.

The ending is particularly very beautiful.
Unlike any other star, you are mine

Not with you and yet yours...

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it very much. More than I can explain...

I really loved this piece, being that I'm also a huge fan of stargazing! Wonderfully written.

Touching poem and very exquisite...wonderful metaphor for the desires of the heart.

I hope you find yours...and may each wish find a home in your heart.

Good work...!

This is a tragic and tormented tale, a woman in love with a star, lonely in her desire. It is operatic, tense and a wonderful love story. The font added to the effects (How do you get the font like that?). The sincerity had me gazing in my imagination at a woman sitting at her window in the dark of night. Her hand raised to the window, her fingers spread out on the glass, expanses of fields paint the way to the horizon, and there, above it all is that one symbolic start, shinning brightly, reminding her of how little she has traveled, lived and how much she longs for the embrace of comforting arms.

Magic!

Such a tender, eloquent beauty in your words... And so full of a lingering hope to hang onto our dreams even though they sometimes seem so far away... Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
