Memories held fast in time.....

Another photo on the wall

  Another story told

As we sit inside our guiled frames

  Never getting old

We smile in a moments bliss

  A golden moment seized

And as I smile at myself

  I am truly pleased

Your arms around me

  Warm, tight and fast

And I am truly glad

  That this moment will last.

You ARE a poet -- don't doubt that. This makes me recall my Gran's wall of pictures… some from the earliest days of photography, right up to her own last days. Those pictures hang in my mother's home now. Photos or painted pictures -- they all have the capacity to transport us to other times… to other worlds… to all those rose-colored memories.

Beautiful! "And as I smile at myself...your arms wrapped around me" I like that part. It's a wonderful thing falling in love with yourself. A lot of people don't see the beauty in that and they often consider it something bad. This is a great poem!
