Parking Tickets

Parking Tickets

A Poem by lostinthewaves
"

I am a parking ticket... (not my best written but the one that makes me laugh the most)

"
I am a parking ticket,
and yes I know,
parking tickets can’t write poems,
But otherwise we’re one in the same.

Life is comically tragic for us parking tickets,
Sprawled out on car windshields called life.

We aren’t the thing you want to see early on Monday morning,
and we’re still quite dreadful on a Friday night.

We’re the nervous type,
Because we tend to be frustrating,
You’d rather not have to deal with us,
And we’d rather not be written out.

Yet for being so annoying,
We almost beg for attention,
“Look at me” we scream,
From places we weren’t invited.

We didn’t ask to be such a problem,
We’d rather not sit out in the rain,
We wish that you’d forgive us,
Although you committed the violation.
