My friend,

At least you made a strike, last time I went bowling my fingernails were so long they got caught in the holes and when I swung back, it flew, then hit someone with the ball!

Now I enjoy your stories, and obits are basically telling a person's journey in a nutshell. You could always pick up a couple of real obituaries and rework this if you must. (When you submit your work into a contest, try to correct the typos because some judges won't even take your piece seriously with spelling mistakes in it.)

I'd rather you show the journey of life through your stories, that is where your creative strength lies.

Sydelle Houston is correct. This is headed in the right direction, but one of your strongest suits as an author is your creativity. Your writing is already headed in a rather hudibrastic direction as it stands; it's somewhat poetic actually. You should certainly elaborate on the actual path and use the elaboration as a conduit through which your creativity can provide a new element in your obituary.

It is an interesting attempt at humor, one of those deadpan moments caught amidst a doubletake. Wait? Did that say what I think it did? No, it could not have. Surely not. Let me read it again, yes, yes, well, yes, okay...what? Okay, wait. Yes, yes, yes, okay. In that, it worked well.

It reminds me of several people that I know. It seems you are using this piece to convey the common value of life. It seems you are using descriptive narrative in a way to define who this person is/was. I like this! I feel it's a good introduction/final call for the person it describes. VERY good work.
