The Open Door

The Open Door

A Poem by Cocoa

There you are
scared to moved
but want to see whats
out there in the world

There is an open door
right in front of you
you want to step out
but you can't move because
someone has held you back
and has trapped you in
his own prison

Where should you go?
nobody knows
your going crazy and you
hear thundering and horrifying
music in your head

You have no idea whats going
on with yourself
but you need to take a step
out of the open door

"Come on! Come on!"
you hear voices in your head
finally you take that step of relief
out the door

Some doors are hard to get to. Can be fear or lack of desire to escape. Easy to swim in sadness and misery. Hard to run for a open door and know real freedom. I like the complete poem. A very strong ending to a excellent poem.
