Summer & rain

Summer & rain

A Poem by Rose

The smell of wetness upon pale blue petals
a muggy summer rain brings silence on footpaths
show me something real and the world brings shades of green flora, thunder and rain

what would granny say about the birds above my head
talk about the english blackbirds early in the morning
a family of small birds making nests on power lines

the mixture of summer and rain is something surprising it spells out unpredictability.
