i hope you talk about me the way you still talk about her

i hope one day you talk to me as much as you still talk about her

it starts out as a normal morning
but then we make plans- plans to make the best of each other’s company
we do something that makes me feel a little closer to you; a little more intament
but then it ends
and it’s great
it’s wonderful
i’m as happy as i can be, cuddled up next to you
you kiss my forehead and then laugh
you start telling a story about her.
you tell me how you used to do exactly what we just did.
you break my heart.
you barely go a day without talking about her.
“we used to do this” “she used to drag me to that”
the story never changes
i’ve became at ease with it. really.
i’ve realized you’ll never truly be mine to hold
i just hope that one day,
you talk about me as much as you still talk about her

wow blooming heck I love this writing......hey I got emotional toward the end....I so related to the content and the words and the suffering and love.......dam fine piece of work yeah I really do love this poem....well done.........I will never forget them last two lines......amazing.
