Phoenix Rising

Phoenix Rising

A Poem by luciddreamer

She cut herself
into a million pieces
delicately removing
the evil
that was implanted
forced within by
the one

she healed by
refilling it with love
hope
and compassion
as she downloaded
herself into a program
that only accepted
love as its
operating system

building herself a time machine
she went back
to the nights of full terror
and instead of
slipping away to her fantasy-land
she stayed and
put her healing hands
upon her attacker
while filling herself
with only positive
she screamed
I LOVE YOU
feeling no fear
no tears
no need of escaping
she believed
in the good in him
the part he had lost
the part she had never seen

Suddenly, he cried
stopping his evil deeds
whispering
I love you too
words
she thought she would never hear
was whispered
in her mind
of a different time
she made come true

Come Sunday morning
the Cowboys no longer slaughtered the Indians
instead, they created a paradise together
as Godzilla did all the heavy work of
tearing down the cities
allowing nature to come back
and flourish

All mankind cheering
for the monsters change to be the heroes
never causing pain again

For love became the only choice
of men forevermore

As she flew around the sky
with her friends the birds
laughing
as she watched  the world
become whole again
