Heart's Desire

Heart's Desire

A Poem by Mary

Heart’s desire

My subconscious stirs at night,

I can’t control any longer the fire that burns inside.

So I dream of never ending beauty

And my greatest wishes

My secrets revealed,

You stand before me

My heart’s desire

Your star lit eyes like never before

You adore me and only me

What a silly little fantasy

I have created,

A false dream that only brings pain

But for now I smile in my utter bliss

As your breath mingles with mine

I cry tears of pure joy,

Our minds and souls becoming one

But right before I truly let go

I am pulled from my endless wonder by a sound,

A screeching howl of reality,

My alarm clock

Tears still fresh in my dark eyes

I willingly forget the time I spent,

With my heart’s desire.

Wow mary this was really intense. I loved it. The only thing I didnt care for was the part where you "or better known as" it kind of sounds odd in the poem and doesnt fit well but if you left tht line as just "my alar clock" i think it sounds better
