Awakening

Awakening

A Poem by Mary

Spring wake up

My child,

Let all of winters creation

Dissipate.

Snow melt.

And help bring life to your

Brother rain.

Drip down through my frozen earth

And awaken my flowers.

Sprout out flowers,

And thrive my darlings.

Bring joy to all of earth’s children with your beauty.

Trees,

Wake up.

Stretch out your tired limbs,

And live again.

Clouds,

Make way.

The sun needs your safe passage.

Let him shine.

Sun,

It’s all up to you.
