Mirror Image

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

I am the image of perfection

Or so they think

I walk the halls like a goddess

Acting is your forte

Such a flawless, graceful girl

Oh, but if they only knew

The most beautiful smile

Nothing but a mask for your sinister smirk

Always something nice to say

The exact opposite of your thoughts

Lending a helping hand where it is needed

Really now dear, don't you think it is a little much

A social butterfly

How painful that must be for one such as yourself

I go home for the night and stare into the mirror

I know you see me and you know who I am

My reflection speaks to me

I am who you truely are

Such a nasty person my mirror image is

Stop your little facade and you will see me

I really like this. I like how it can be formed into more than one poem

Very nice. I like the way you formed the poem. Reminds me a bit of Ellen Hopkins books and how she writes.
Dark & intense. Love it.
