Little Baby Girl

Little Baby Girl

A Poem by Lunar Lightning
"

This is about my three year old sister. Her name is Bailey and I love her very much. My parents call me "Mommy #2" a lot. I guess it's kind of true

"

I look at her beautiful hasel eyes and I can't help but to smile

They are so full of questions and things she doesn't say

Every time she smiles her eyes sparkle with the kind of happiness that only children can get

So innocent and ignorant and blissful

Oh how I envy my little baby girl

She asks me what is this and what is that

I always tell her the truth

She asks me why is this and why is that

I answer her as best I can

When she wakes up at night crying it is my bed she comes to

She tells me she's scared and wants to sleep in my bed

I think about how cute she is when she is sleeping

And how she won't need me to save her from her nightmares for very long

I know that time goes by faster than I'd like

There are times I wish she'd go away

And times I wish she'd come home from her friend's house

I wish she'd stop growing up so quickly

I wish she'd stay my little baby girl

Aww, this is such a sweet poem, it made me smile =]
She looks like she's adorable as well. Lovely poem, you should let your sister read it when she's older!
