When were only half awake

with our fur babies snuggled close

and we hit snooze one more time,

that’s when I love you the most

When you exclaim “you’re the best!”

And you pull me in so close

as I’m standing making lunch,

that’s when I love you the most

When you’re focused on your music

and I watch you so engrossed

as you play a brand new chord,

that’s when I love you the most 

When you help me get set up

for the event I said i’d host

hanging streamers from the fan,

that’s when I love you the most

When you brave a new adventure

as we explore the coast

jet skiing on the ocean, 

that’s when I love you the most 

When you fiddle with my car

To fix what I can’t diagnose

even when it’s freezing cold,

that’s when I love you the most

When you give me a nice shower

as I’m feeling extra gross

just two days post surgery,

that’s when I love you the most

When you take on a new challenge

to build something I can boast

Testing your carpenter skills,

that’s when I love you the most

When you scream a high pitched scream

and look like you’ve seen a ghost

when its my turn to scare you,

that’s when I love you the most

When I make you take ten pictures

that are all too weird to post,

and you save them on your phone,

that’s when I love you the most

When I ruin all your yawns

With my finger down your throat

just to have the highest score,

that’s when I love you the most

Almost two year together

shall we make a toast?

every day I spend with you,

that’s when I love you the most.
