The Traveler

The Traveler

You don't wait till you get to a certan space to start writing. You write whereever and whenever your muse tells you to.

The Traveler

Have you seen Alice? …

Went on a vacation

Then got lost in the sanitation

Of sound recesses

Far from ideological

Spent precious time

Meant to be allocated elsewhere

Now I’m left pondering

Where the collapse occurred

The point where misstep

Misspoke

Misthought

Misfelt

Tendencies became

An unwelcomed inheritance

And ended me up

At the wrong juncture

Fragmented because I missed

And left behind

The right baggage

And carried on a levy

Not meant for me

I’ve become a crooked sojourner

Trying to recollect the pieces

Of a thesis no longer in season

So my mentality’s still stuck in a style of treason

Give me a reason please

Do I need to appease

This self-inflicted disease

Or should I hire the fates as

The trustees of my

Emotional and mental estate

Because I’m no longer able to dictate

Between the mannerisms that predate

A reinstate and the traits that act

Like an interstate

To connect me to the proper weight

Tell me if you find her…
