Lost in a Metaphor

Lost in a Metaphor

A Poem by lubnazee

You ask me how I spend so much time staring at you and smiling, and it’s because I see stars in your eyes.

I’ve seen so many I’ve started to map out each star studded memory into little constellations that form stories in my mind.

Whenever I’m lost in my own thoughts I look to the sky and I see each story gently shining in the dark sky, each constellation having its own brightness and distinct pattern.

Every constellation guides me in different directions,

but they all bring me back to the same place of loving you.
