Endless Night

Endless Night

A Poem by maddviews

As my world burns and crashes
my stomach turns body thrashes
It comes in waves I fight to breath
All I need is a sweet release

Drowning in this pool of black
There is no room there is no slack
Struggling to breath my chest grows tighter
Won't give in I was born a fighter

Like a warrior with sword in hand
I fight the fear I have to stand
The demons come to pull me under
Sword on shield rings out like thunder

As I turn to face my foe
I raise my blade to strike a blow
All at once your at my side
Your voice breaks through into my mind

Reminding me I can take more
Showing me a world worth fighting for
With you here I can not loose
I will not quit I must refuse

Your voice that brought the light
Burning away my endless night

I love this, the message is beautiful and hopeful! I would recommend a bit more punctuation. Some of the lines flow together and some jumble. When writing poetry you kind of have to remind people when to pause... hehe, other then that, this is a wonderful, uplifting piece. Well done!

I have to say, I loved this a lot. You can see the struggle and its definitely powerful, and something I would read continually. Good job :)
