discordant

discordant

A Poem by Mia Sparrow

redolent of rain

the glint of lightning

pierces the crepuscular sky.

blended teardrops

between our kiss

tarry on my lips.

as i retreat

i see the resignation

in the azure of your eyes.

my chest still heaves

as i sit here

staring into the storm.

discordant realities rend

what has never been

though had always been.

nightfall approaches

with echoes of thunder

our words are diminished

our fates await us.

As fingertip to fingertip pressed against pane.. resonate the true virtue of what belongs. The storm is just a gusty pretense of overwhelmed karma, stirring ...stirring...stirring. If your quiet enough you'll hear the branches breaking in between your breathes of love. I like your writing! It cuts and calms all in a single listening
