Broken Mirror

Broken Mirror

A Poem by J Cat
"

Vampire poem :)

"
She seemed to me somniferous and immoral,
She did not bare the burden of a conscience,
Vanity was the title I knew her by; it was also her weakness.
The Lady knew nothing of everything,
She was only a young novice.
Her wan blood lead to her heart of black coal,
Fair, her voice and dance were more than fair,
But imagine the corrupt puzzles she created,
With each sinful, meaningless kiss of her fangs.

I was fugacious when she found me.
Because I was a health hazard,
Vanity passed over the evanescent innocence, me.
She fed on the crimson blood of every other healthy.
I was helpless and my tears made my sight blur.
She gave me a gentle kiss on my lips,
And we looked into the mirror across the room.
Her own breath staggered,
When she searched for her beauty,
But could see none.

The hospital marveled in fear at the deaths,
The next morning,
Of the healing patients and found no trace
Of the malicious killer,
Except for a broken mirror.
