Can you hear the battle cry?

Duck and dive as bullets fly...

Stinging sand burning eyes...

Leaving home to save our lives...

Imagine now, my dear friend...

We're approaching near the end...

Yet have no fear...

For I am here...

To guide you out...

Into the clear...

Listen my child, as I say...

Fold your hands, get down and pray...

This is yes the only way...

To live your life from day to day...

This is an emotional piece for me as my son is serving our country in Iraq. Thanks for writing it. it helps me to understand what he must be going through as a soldier.
