The Sunshine Man

The Sunshine Man

A Poem by mandy
"

written for my husband, who came from the cold north to the warm south and found me!!

"

Oh, the snow and ice don't feel nice.

Wanna go to the sunshine land.

See all the girls, with their pretty curls,

and play around in the sand.

Shoveling snow, oh, no, no,

wanna feel that sun on my back.

Pack up my gear and clothes to wear,

get out my old back pack.

Load up the car, and my old guitar,

wanna roll along down the street.

Leaving the snow and the winds that blow

cold drafts around my feet.

Hey, I'm here, feel that air,

wanna swim and get me a tan.

The sun above, and a girl to love,

just call me the sunshine man.

What a beautiful poem, it truly fits the description above... and judging from the words here I'm getting the feel that your husband's one of those carefree romantics who sweep girls off their feet with their music and charm... also it tells me he has an adventurous nature and likes to seek new discoveries... Overall, good job. ^_^

Good but as an Alaskan I do not like any thing that crawls, slithers or stings. I love a fire in a fire place to look out side and view the northern lights a Dancing just for me.
I need no air conditioning and wear furs to keep warm.

I like the jolly jaunty feel to this, you have captured the sunshine feeling perfectly. It feels like a great song too.

This is really cool. Could feel the anticipation and the sense of adventure as he packs up ready to head for the sunshine! :)
Nice rhyme and rhythm too.
