Chasing My Dream

Dreaming to be something is so easy and free,

But does life always favour what you dream to be?

A model, an engineer, a doctor or film star,

Open your eyes, look, the destination is too far.

Waiting for the chance, lost with millions in the crowd,

Desperate to be noticed, you keep screaming so loud.

You thought it was easy, you would get there in a day,

But ages will what it take, for every step in your way.

The path full of hurdles which now makes you realise,

Dreams are best meant to be seen with closed eyes.

So here I am on my bed closing my eyes in vain,

Yet sure to wake up and pursue my dream again.
