Thoughts on sex

Sex as a matter of black and white...

Sex is a sin before marriage, and pure within marriage.

"You aren't married.  It was a sin.  Dirty.  Shame worthy, guilty, something that will stick like gluten in the colon, fresh harm to your soul, talk to someone who can help you handle your mistake."

Sex as a matter of color.

In that room,

A naked womb

wordless and aware

A baby's first cry

shameless and high

hurt from the inside

Whimpering laughs and heavy moans

Life begins in aching insides

Kiss my open mouth reaching out

Belly button to belly button

Belly button to back,

A baby's first cry, a baby's first laugh.

Very true, a lot who are pro life -and coming from the pro life camp know the thinking of a lot of the others - see a child orn out of wedlock as less than others.

Thats the reason why most girls opt for abortion, to hide the shame.

There should be no shame, in or out of wedlock, a life is a life. Love is love. Churches have a lot to answer for.

Your comment is interesting, I hadn't even thought about pregnancy when I wrote this. But that is definitely a theme in the poem. That's another topic that shouldn't be seen in black and white.

Now what in life is a matter of black and white? There is nothing, really. And I'm struggling to understand your real point of view. This is not clear. Don't understand what you mean when you say "Sex as a matter of color.

Thanks Rick, I'll try to clarify it. I am trying to say that things are more grey area than black and white, but it isn't really explained in the poem. It is supposed to be first the opinins of people who believe that sex is either good or bad depending on whether or not it is in marriage. I am trying to show my opinion that it is something that can be divine outside of marraige but it depends on if it is an act of love.
