A Poem by marilyn 1225
"

online bullies

"

how many people have had  their hearts wrenched

their spirits dampened

their self confidence destroyed

by the ever so harsh words of an online bully

be it words on a scrabble game

messages on craigs list

or even a cruel poem

these people hide in the cloak

of the unknown name

of the unknown player

and the unknown tormenter

forever lashing out

at a  vulnerable person's heart

gleefully  they continue

as time passes over decades of

anonymity

Bullying of any kind whether online or by phone, or in person is just a disrespectful thing... I don't believe in it and I have had it myself form a wife.. So I stand beside a friend if ever needed because I do not take kindly to bullying. Such an honest poem to help wake people up to real life topics...

I don't know Marilyn. With old age upon me. All love touched and caressed. Became okay. Few people won't know heartbreak. Old wisdom. With joy, we must know sadness. With love, we shall learn disappointment. Today I don't regret love received or given. Now my muses for poetry and my story. A powerful poem dear friend. Made me think tonight.

An open plea to those who like to hide in the shadows .a thoughtful message to those who are treated unfairly by a cowardly group who have no other purpose but to hurt others

An honest poem. I hope this is not happening to you, Marilyn. When I first joined this site, only a few months ago, I went through some strange things with a person who wanted to send me private messages. In the end I realized it was his stuff not mine. I find humour helps as well. It takes all kinds to make a world. Hugs

yes, it happens much too often...on line personas...hiding behind different aliases...often there is cruelty...
