She Went Sailing

She Went Sailing

A Poem by mathiasthom

She went sailing,
over the railing
into the beauty of despair,
without a worry or care

Left dangling on a rope
watching the strands unravel,
Nothing left but hope
on this one way trip she traveled...

Could not find the happiness
within a life of perpetual sadness
to take one last cowardly breath,
and plunge to such an untimely, ugly death...
