The Rebirth of Something New "Revision"

A Poem by Matthew Ryan Hardy
"

This is rewrite of "http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/matt.hardy44/767708/" which I wrote a while ago. I just decide to make it a little more into it and this is what I came up with.

"

I try serving the one who truly care

I seem like an average guy

But deep down I’m a sinner

I pray for salvation

But I never seem to bother

I try to fade away from the old

But my flesh drags me back under

Some day’s I feel like I hit rock-bottom

But my God brings me back to the surface

And I feel like a new man

The start of something new

Now I pray for salvation

And everything seems to change

I feel like reading the word

And taking up my cross daily

I feel like leading the faded into actuality

Showing them a brand new start

The resurrection of something new

Regret is the product of sin.I often cringe about the wrongs I have committed,But is only the ones I returned to commit again that I am haunted by.Great poem

i'm not a fan of religious poetry in the slightest, i feel that the underlying devotion to an imaginary person just sort of skews the whole concept of releasing poetic energy.

Hard to walk in the good light. Easy to fall. A wise person learn from mistakes and not try to repeat them. I like the description and the desire of your poem. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
