The Suicide Note

The Suicide Note

A Poem by Matthew Kult
"

Bye Mom

"

I write this for you

looking out the window watching the rain

cause mom, you always knew it true

trying to forget all the pain

I can't live with it anymore

Noticing a squirrel in my tree

He treats me like a dirty w***e.

wishing to be that free.

I just want you to know

waiting too long for it to never end

that you will have to let go

hoping my soul will mend

I will never be free.....

Praying for anyone to rescue me

He promised to always find me.

knowing my end begins with this tree.

I figured out How.

Accepting my fate....

Mom, it has to be now.

Refusing to live with his hate.

I love you, mom.  Please forgive me.

Love Always,

Samantha

As it happens, I was coming over to read you. I am enamored of this poem - though for reasons I need not go into. Sad, yes of course, and yet to me, just blank, heartless, full of heart - all those clashing moods, so hard to define -
Thank you Matthew.

Very dark.
Good emotion. I like emotion in writing. I like that it varied between italic and script. Sort of like a Hebertian inner monologue in side a story.
Interesting.
Thanks for sharing.

Very sad, but at the same time capturing the emotion to help others feel who just wouldn't understand. The image you paint it very captivating as well.

this was sad, and really painful. But then again, when one has to go, one has to go. I liked the imagery here, and I liked that this poem incorporated the feel of a suicide note. Great job!

"Praying for anyone to recue me" Shouldn't it be rescue? Just a thought on grammar...
Poetic, deep, filled with guilt and sorrow. You rhyme words really well -- it helped with the melancholy tone a lot. Good good...I applaud.

This was excellent.. the intertwining of two poems can be ridiculously difficult, but you pulled it off with flying colors (an analogy I've never understood). Wonderfully done.
