...High

...High

A Poem by Matthew Kult
"

Go on a ride with me.

"

I feel...

Distantly comfortable.  Allowing

the ripples of the cold grey water

carry me into a unknown of

imagination.  Slipping gently under

the cuddle, pleasantly demented,

giggling away the sins. Only to accept

the praise and admiration of

 dreadful inspiration.

I feel...

  Forever lost. Cherishing

a world so dreary and dark. Seeing

through the eyes of a sinner

and feeling every ounce of pain

Unleashed mercilessly. Only to accept

the pleasure of suffering and

the orgasmic thrill of

the kill.

I feel...

Arrogantly mad.  Worshipping

the superciliously sacred line

of derangement.  Slithering

slowly off the tree of

pure insanity and addiction to

the rush of being a god.

Only to accept it's full

library of knowledge and

magnifyed cognition.

I feel...

And there in lies the impetus for the continuation of the behavior- the need to feel overrides any societal moralities. It seems the subject of the poem believes that this is his power but I believe that it is his desperation. The poem is compelling and very well done.

My diagnosis? Megalomania. You are quite accurate when you describe derrangement and madness, especially when you talk about giggling. Reading this made me feel rather light-hearted. Many thanks.
