Falacy of Life
A Poem by MattWrites
- The promises of youth did not
show me life
- A world without struggle nor
strife
- As the world took me in
- The worst just started to
begin
- A world of hate and greed
- Instilled within me what I
need
- I found no love and no
affection
- And as I stare in my
reflection
- Someone else is in my place
- Through my mind I trace
- All the choices I have made
- That took me where I have
stayed
- I feel betrayed, I feel alone
- I knock on the door and no
one is home
- All I know is that I'm by
myself
- Looking to find my place on
the shelf.
- No more happiness no more
love
- The world saw me, as
disposable as a dove.

The Roman Numerals are OK. The sense of victimization, not so much.
